Using non-formal education methods, we will develop a digital toolkit and entrepreneurial training program. We will deliver both to 24 teachers and trainers from the UK, Romania, Turkey, Lithuania and the Netherlands during a 5-day short staff training in Suceava, Romania.
They will then support 240 women in the partnership (10 per trainee). Another 60+ trainers will participate in 6 webinars. The training program and digital toolkit will provide teachers/trainers with tools to strengthen their entrepreneurial and digital skills and competencies and those of their beneficiaries
The current socio-economic context proves the need to develop entrepreneurship, as an efficient way to support the active measures of the labor market to create new jobs and stimulate the economy. European strategies in the field of employment emphasize entrepreneurship because it plays an essential role in employment policies and the fight against unemployment. The personal and social costs of unemployment include severe financial hardship and poverty, debt, homelessness and housing stress, family stress and collapse, boredom, alienation, shame and stigma, increased social isolation, crime, erosion of confidence and self-esteem, of work skills and poor health.!
EU Commission "Women's labour market situation": women work more part-time, are paid less and often still take on the bulk of private household and caring responsibilities. Across the EU there is a serious gender inequality where women are underemployed and typically have low self-confidence, low skills and competencies. Partner countries all have the same problem that needs to be addressed: empowering adult women with entrepreneurial skills and competencies that bring them closer to the labor market and the ability to work from home.
