MBMZ means "My Business, My Care." The project responded to the current demand from the healthcare sector in the region: in the short/medium term there would be a huge shortage of flexibly deployable helpers/ caretakers at MBO levels 3 and 4 in the Rijnmond region (expectation of shortages as a % of the number of positions within 5 years: Rijmond 3%, Drechtsteden 18-30%, Haaglanden 12-18%, W-N Brabant 6-12%). This expectation was supported by research by Calibris, knowledge center for learning and practice in healthcare. There was a need for recruitment of flexibly employable personnel, which could not be met with the current influx in vocational training and the labor market. The demand for care came from Laurens Zorg & Wonen, one of the largest care institutions in the Rijnmond region, and this position was recognized by several care institutions. In order to be able to meet the future demand for care, Laurens saw good opportunities for employing Independent Contractors (ZZP-ers) in care and embedding them in existing structures.
Three objectives were actively worked on within the network:
Experimental design of a ZZP Care training program (level 3-4) within the two largest regional ROCs in the Rijnmond area and embedding it within both educational institutions and professional practice / care enterprises.
The design and implementation of structural cooperation between the relevant educational institutions, healthcare institutions and entrepreneurs in the healthcare sector within the Rijnmond region for the purpose of knowledge exchange, construction and implementation.
Structurally and actively involve entrepreneurs (self-employed) in the care sector and care institutions in the Rijnmond region in shaping new entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education.
