RESULTS:
In an effort to close the digital divide for social workers in Europe, the KEEP UP project developed an e-learning course specifically aimed at their needs. This course was thoroughly tested with groups of social workers from 3 EU countries. Besides developing the course, 45 social workers were trained in digital skills and 6 participants took part in a learning mobility programme in the Netherlands. The tangible result is a free accessible e-learning course in four languages (English, Dutch, Czech and Lithuanian) on the project website. This course helps social workers increase their digital skills and be better prepared for the increasing digitalisation in social care.
GOALS:
-
increasing digital competences of employees working in social care organisations
-
developing an e-learning option tailored to the needs of the target group- verification of a model developed at European level for training social care workers via e-learning
-
overcoming digitisation barriers in non-IT professions by engaging the social care workforce group in tailor-made courses
