RESULTS:
European legislation realise the use and sale of the
electric bicycle;
Carrying out a comparative study and inventory of bicycle training and the use of (e-)bicycles in the partner countries concerned;
Extending existing competence profiles to include specific competences related to the repair and sale of the pedelec;
Based on research, legislation and competence profile identified, refining/adapting/extending existing teaching materials in the partner countries concerned;
Transfer of bicycle maintenance training for concerned partner countries, who are less experienced in the subject matter;
Transfer and sharing of knowledge gained in this partnership project towards all partner organisations from train-to-trainer activities and study visits.
To develop, adapt and refine new and successful approaches to promote cycling and pedelecs in particular. And through proper training in Europe and transnational train-to-trainer activities, study visits and working meetings in the partner countries concerned, to increase knowledge and expertise on electric bicycles among dealers, repairers and training. In the partner countries concerned where bicycle training had not been developed, expertise on conventional bicycles was also shared.
Promote the E-bike all over Europe by dealers, technicians, importers and repairers in order to sell more E-bikes as it is a sustainable mode of transport and, until then, underused in Europe.
