PARTNERS:

RESULTS:

  • Continuous practical learning lines between VMBO/MBO;

  • Train target groups (as much as possible) in practice and test existing competences (curative);

  • Draw up new occupational competence profiles at starting qualification level in the metal sector;

  • New programme offerings for at-risk youth;

  • Create innovative learning environments at companies;

  • Train older people as mentors;

  • Develop practical assignments with which competences can be established;

  • Establishing competences in the EMU-pass (occupational passport);

  • Develop an ICT knowledge infrastructure by Knowledge Centre Kenteq;

  • Using not exclusively accredited learning companies as a learning environment;

  • Cooperation between professional practice and vocational education.

The reason for this project consists of the following components; Increasing youth unemployment; Large groups of young people without a starting qualification; Technical courses showing a very high drop-out rate; Connection of learning paths are now insufficient (no conclusive programme-based approach); Legal restrictions to train (at-risk) young people only in a practice-oriented way and no attractive technical education.
Developing an integrated approach to help 250 at-risk youths move into the metal sector by providing them with innovative ways to obtain their start qualification.
